ServeUP 2020 Packing List – Panama City, Florida
Pack ONE suitcase, backpack or duffel bag to check (under 50lbs) and one small backpack to carry on the plane.
We recommend that your packing include:
PLEASE NOTE: There may not be facilities to lock up valuables. Bring the following at your own risk: Cameras, credit cards, cell phones, IPads, computers. We may not have Wifi at our housing.
Immunizations:
Make sure your Tetanus vaccination is current.

- Money for meals and snacks during transit
- Your favorite snacks for the trip AND for your week
- Government-issued photo ID
- Light sleeping bag or twin sheets and blanket and pillow
- In Panama City you will be sleeping on twin sized bunk beds. Average temps at our living site in March are High 86 / Low 50. We recommend two twin-sized flat sheets and a very light blanket (think throw) for easier packing.
- Pillow
- Work pants and shirts (including at least 1 long-sleeved shirt)
- Work boots or closed-toed shoes (NO sandals for work)
- Work gloves
- T-shirts, underwear and socks
- Hat and/or bandana
- Sunglasses
- Clothes for dinner out in town – one/two evenings
- Lite jacket or sweatshirt for potentially cool evenings
- Lite rain jacket
- BATHING SUIT!!!
- Sleepwear
- Flip flops or shower shoes
- Towel
- Soap & toiletries
- Medications
- Alarm clock and flashlight (headlamps are great!)
- Plastic bag for dirty clothes & shoes
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellent
- Hand sanitizer
- Journal & pen
